ETHDam 2023: The Ultimate Gathering of DeFi and Privacy Builders in Amsterdam

Later this month, on May 20th and 21st, Amsterdam will be hosting ETHDam, a unique hackathon, and conference that will bring together over 800 DeFi and Privacy builders. This year’s event promises to be the biggest and most impressive yet, featuring thought leaders from some of the most innovative companies in the industry, including Polygon, Curve, Aave, Balancer, Dune, MakerDAO, and many more.

One of the most exciting aspects of ETHDam 2023 is the “All Stars Track,” which is described as a “champions league” for the winners of previous ETH hackathons. These seasoned hackers will have the opportunity to start earlier and present more polished projects on the main stage.

ETHDam and Privacy

The organizers note that this year’s ETHDam will address an important issue: privacy.

In light of the recent arrest of Alex Pertsev, a Tornado Cash developer in the Netherlands, ETHDam 2023 is determined to “encourage builders to continue exploring the future of privacy and build on the legacy of cypherpunk giants”.

The event will include several panels and discussions featuring privacy builders from Aleph Zero, Railgun, Sismo, Privacy Protocol, Nym, Aztec, Dusk, Hopr, DarkFi, LunarDao, and other leading companies.

The event will feature an impressive lineup of speakers, including Alex Pertsev, who was recently released under house arrest and will be joining the event in person.

Other speakers include DeFi builders from 1Inch, Lido, APWine, and Curve, regulatory experts from VanEck, EUCI, StakeDao, and Geneva Legal, data magicians from Gelato, Chainlink, Dune, and The Graph, scaling solutions experts from Optimism and Scroll, and security specialists from Ease, Nexus Mutual, Bright Union, Sherlock. The event will also feature MEV experts from Blocknative, Rated Labs, bloXroute, and Allnodes.

ETHDam 2023 will be held at Pakhuis De Zwijger. The venue is a former refrigerated warehouse that has been transformed into a platform for cultural and social innovation.
