Europe’s first spot Bitcoin ETF has officially been introduced on the Euronext Amsterdam exchange.
Unveiled by Jacobi Asset Management, the Jacobi FT Wilshire Bitcoin ETF will be available to qualified professional, institutional, or sophisticated investors only.
Operating with the trading symbol BCOIN, the ETF falls under the regulatory oversight of the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC). Fidelity Digital Assets assumes the role of custodian for the ETF.
This news comes just days after the US SEC extended its review of the Ark 21Shares Bitcoin ETF application. On Friday the SEC published an order calling for public input. The US regulatory agency is also considering applications from Blackrock and Fidelity Investments.
